Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka is a native of Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Sergey Her father (who passed away in the year 2019) was a professional ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka's career began in Minsk Belarus on 5 May 1998. Her career has seen her been awarded 12 WTA singles titles including one Grand Slam at the 2023 Australian Open. She is also an excellent doubles player. She's won two majors of this area, the US Open 2019 and the Australian Open 2021 won both alongside Elisemertens. Additionally, she was able to complete her Sunshine Double in 2019, by winning her the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open together with Elise Mertens. Just four couples managed to make it happen in women's doubles. In 2021 on the 23rd of August she was ranked second in the singles world ranking her highest ranking was again reached in the month of January in 2023. At doubles she however pushed herself to first in February of the same year after the victory in Melbourne becoming thus the second tennis player from Belarus to make it in this specialty. Dmitry Tursunov, a former Russian tennis player, was her coach her from the 2018 season until the end and part of the 2020 season. Dieter Kindlmann had a brief stint as her partner in August of 2020 until September. Antonio Dubrov, her fellow countryman has been her coach in the years since 2020. Serena Williams, and Maria Sharapova are her idols.
